Responsive activities can bring about a heightened sense of awareness to the world around us. There is always a first time for an experience, even from actions that have become the ordinary, the everyday. This can be fun, daunting & exciting whatever the feeling, we’re there, as we haven't yet signed ourselves over to fixed patterns and responses. It's important to realise that the everyday was once untested, and still can be so if we break down our conditioned responses to what surrounds us. In doing so, we see the world with new eyes, moment to moment, and from realizing this, joy can be found in the everyday.
I gravitate towards activities that become platforms for fostering a sense of community, such as growing food, making wine/charcoal and trading goods. I'm exploring these activities as an amateur, so as a result, they become quite playful. This can stimulate creative energy, and feed back into the activity, becoming a positive feedback loop.
